Issue

When clicking the “Reconfigure Rules” button in DQP’s homepage, the error message Query result is empty. Please re-run the query in Alation is seen.

Guidance

The published Compose query that retrieves the DQ monitoring results from the source has it’s result set stored in Alation for a fixed period of time. This result set is accessed by DQP via API. However once the query’s result set expires it is automatically discarded by Alation. In this scenario the API call has failed to access the DQ result set and so the published query should be re-run to refresh the result set. We recommend scheduling the published query in Compose to run on regular basis.
