Parse Connection Details with Period (“.”)¶
The connector now extracts catalog, schema, and tables from an API response and sets the data in the Catalog.Schema.Table format according to the datasource. (AL-180047)
Ignore Unsupported Datasources¶
The connector now ignores the following unsupported datasources (AL-180047):
DataTableDataSource and ShapeFileDataTableDataSource
Path formats without any extension
TMP path formats
Removal of Unused Datasource Connection Parameters¶
The following unused parameters are now removed from the Alation UI for the connector (AL-180047):
Spotfire Database Name
Spotfire Database Server
Spotfire Database Username
Spotfire Database Password
Spotfire Database Type
Fixed Issues¶
Connector Installation Fails on Agent and Cloud¶
Connector installation fails on both Alation Agent and Alation Cloud Services.
This issue is now resolved (AL-179642)

TIBCO Spotfire OCF Connector supports (AL-164298):
Folder Level Permissions for Extraction
Users can now grant permission to access the parent folder and its subfolders, including the root folder, for extraction.
DXP Based on MultiSource
TIBCO Spotfire now supports extraction of DXP reports based on multisource (SBDF, IL, CSV, XLS, Text, and Database) and SPDF reports as BI reports.
Filter Extraction
TIBCO Spotfire now supports selection of projects for extraction (selective extraction).
Fixed Issues¶
TIBCO Spotfire Server Accepts IP Addresses as URI¶
TIBCO Spotfire Server accepts only an IP Address in the JDBC URI field.
The issue is now fixed. The connector now accepts hostname and port as part of the JDBC URI. (AL-154341)
Unable to Use the Open with BI Server Functionality¶
The Open with Server BI button on the UI for the TIBCO Spotfire connector works only at the top-most level (BI Server); at lower levels, it maps to incorrect URLs.
The issue is now fixed. (AL-160748)
Metadata Extraction Fails After Granting Permission to New Folders¶
After granting permissions to access new folders for extraction, MDE fails with the following error: Error Fetching Data from Tibco SPOTFIRE
The issue is now resolved. (AL-162672)
