Alation Cloud Service Applies to Alation Cloud Service instances of Alation
Customer Managed Applies to customer-managed instances of Alation
Review the following requirements to ensure the Domo connector can be installed, configured, and started.
Domo Connector Installer¶
The connector is available as a Zip file that can be uploaded and installed in the Alation application. Contact the Forward Deployed Engineering team or your Account Team to obtain the latest connector.
Note
The Domo connector does not require a license key.
Alation Agent / Alation Connector Manager¶
For ACS Customers¶
Check your Alation Cloud Service has Alation Agent installed and running. The Agent is mandatory for this connector in ACS deployments.
For On-premise / Self-managed Alation Customers¶
Check Alation Connector Manager (ACM) is installed and running. ACM is mandatory for OCF connectors.
Credentials for Domo¶
The Domo cloud instance URL is required.
For the connector to authenticate with Domo, request a Domo API Access Token from your Domo Administrator. More information on managing Domo Access Tokens can be found in this Domo guide. When creating the token, a Domo Admin role is required to be used.
Credentials for Alation¶
For automatic lineage generation, your Alation URL, username and password are required.
Network Connection¶
Ensure network connectivity exists between Domo Business Cloud and Alation. Check if any firewall changes are needed, ensuring port 443 for HTTPS traffic is open.
Certified / Non-certified Content¶
Decide if you want Alation to catalog only certified Domo content, or all content.
