Redwood City, Calif. – February 11, 2021 – Alation Inc., the data intelligence company, announced today the appointment of Dean Thomas as its Senior Vice President (SVP) of Customer Success. Thomas, an accomplished client success and customer experience executive, will lead Alation’s support, services, and client strategy team, and will be responsible for ensuring every Alation customer is receiving maximum return on their investment.

Thomas brings more than 25 years of advanced customer experience with B2B technology firms to Alation. Most recently, he was VP, Customer Experience at Sumo Logic, a continuous intelligence software company, where he both built and led the customer success organization. In this role, he helped create and promote a culture of being “in it” with customers. Dean has also held customer-centric leadership roles, including VP, Application Delivery and Value Added Services at NICE Systems and SVP, Global Client Services at Merced Systems.
