Alation combines the power of machine learning with human insight to automatically capture information about what the data describes, where the data comes from, who’s using it and how it’s used. Anand Aidasani VP of Sales
Anand is vice president of sales at Alation. Anand’s ability to articulate the Alation story and his passion for helping customers make the most of enterprise data is infectious. As both a leader and account executive, he has helped to drive strong revenue growth and forge trusted partnerships with clients. Prior to Alation, Anand held executive positions with NYSE Euronext, IBM and Deloitte Consulting. Anand has a Bachelor of Arts and a Masters of Public Administration in economics, policy, and public finance from Syracuse University.
Bob Block Chief Customer Success Officer
Bob is Chief Customer Success Officer at Alation. He is an expert at guiding customer success organizations through from strategy and thought leadership to support and account management. He is focused on improving the customer experience. Before joining Alation, Bob served as Chief Customer Officer at Jive Software and was a customer success leader at Limelight Networks, SuccessFactors, IBM, and PWC. Bob has a B.A.in business / accounting from the University of Washington.
Raj Gossain SVP of Product
Raj is senior vice president of product at Alation. He oversees product strategy, planning, and execution. Prior to Alation, Raj was vice president of product at ClearSlide, now part of Corel Corp. He held the role of vice president and general manager for Cloud & Mobile Collaboration applications at Cisco and ran global product management for WebEx. Raj has also held leadership positions at Yahoo!, Opsware, and Netscape/AOL. He holds a BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from UC Berkeley and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Aaron Kalb VP of Design & Strategic Initiatives
Aaron is vice president of design and strategic initiatives and a co-founder of Alation. Passionate about user experience, he has spent his career crafting delightful and empowering products, with a special focus on natural language interfaces. Prior to Alation, Aaron worked at Apple on iOS and Siri, doing engineering, research, and design in the Advanced Development Group. He holds Bachelors and Masters degrees in Symbolic Systems with a concentration in Human-Computer Interaction from Stanford University.
Steve Kennedy Chief Revenue Officer
Steve is Alation’s Chief Revenue Officer. He has served as CRO for seven different companies, including three public and four private, leading three private companies to exits of a combined $1 billion. Before Alation, Steve served as senior vice president of field operations for Recommind and has held sales leadership roles at Centrify, Zantaz, Wind River Systems, Sonicblue, and Quantum. Steve holds a B.A. in business studies from Portsmouth University.
Stephanie McReynolds VP of Marketing
Stephanie leads marketing at Alation. With over 15 years of data infrastructure and application experience, she has a track record of bringing new technologies to market and into the hands of business analysts. Prior to Alation, she was instrumental in building the first marketing team at the self-service data preparation provider Trifacta. Before Trifacta, she held senior marketing and product management positions at Teradata, Aster Data and Oracle. Stephanie earned a Masters and Bachelors in international relations from Stanford University.
Debby Meredith VP of Engineering
Debby is vice president of engineering at Alation. She has more than 20 years of start-up experience, managing engineering teams with state-of-the-art practices and delivering world-class products. She joined Icon Venture in 2003 as a venture partner and takes on consulting assignments for well-regarded venture-backed companies. Prior to joining Icon, Debby was a venture partner with Mohr, Davidow Ventures. She has held product and engineering roles at AOL/Netscape, Collabra Software, and Slate and key technical positions at Metaphor Computer Systems, Logitech and Bell Laboratories.
Max Ochoa Chief Financial Officer & General Counsel
Max is responsible for Alation’s finance, human resources, and legal departments. Prior to Alation, Max was general counsel, corporate secretary, and chief privacy officer for Turn Inc. Before Turn, Max was general counsel and vice president of human resources for the subsidiary of Cox Enterprises that acquired Adify in 2008, where Max was general counsel and corporate secretary. He holds an SB in Aeronautics and Astronautics from MIT, an MS in Aerospace Engineering from The University of Michigan, and a JD from Stanford Law School. Max also serves on the Board of OneJustice, a California-wide social justice not-for-profit.
Satyen Sangani Chief Executive Officer
Satyen is the CEO of Alation and a co-founder. In founding Alation, he aspired to help people dispassionately observe the world around them, empowering them to passionately work to improve it. Before Alation, Satyen spent nearly a decade at Oracle, where he ran the Financial Services Warehousing and Performance Management business. Prior to Oracle, Satyen was an associate with the private investment firm, Texas Pacific Group and an analyst with Morgan Stanley & Co. He holds a Masters in economics from the University of Oxford and a Bachelors from Columbia University.
Joy Wolken VP of People and Culture
Joy is vice president of people and culture at Alation. She oversees global employee engagement, development, and organizational growth. Prior to joining Alation, Joy was the vice president of people at Phantom Cyber, acquired by Splunk, where she led the company through a period of more than 300 percent growth. Joy has also served in leadership development, people operations, and talent acquisition roles at Kespry, BlueJeans Network, and Intersil. She holds BBA from the University of Miami Business School and an MBA from the University of Central Florida.
